2021 Year in Review

I published four novels this year (three as Zoe, and one as Ainsley Booth), which is the fewest total titles in a year since my first year of publishing in 2013. I felt quite steady in the production pace, though, and I’m so proud of these titles!

The first release of 2021 was Fierce at Heart, book two in the Kincaids of Pine Harbour series. Adam and Isla’s book is FULL of my favourite tropes: marriage of convenience, friends to lovers, roommates with feelings, older woman younger man, and it takes a village.

In March my Ainsley alter-ego released Shame, which completed the Secrets and Lies duet. (This book deals with heavy themes; there are content notes on my Ainsley website.)

Then I spent months across the spring and summer writing Wild at Heart, and that came out in September. Will and Catie’s book is a love letter to Bruce County, to road trips, and includes so much frenemy banter, because I’m a sucker for the love/hate push/pull of people who think they’re opposites (but really aren’t).

My final release of the year was A Navy SEAL for Christmas, a book a year in the making, and it’s a soft, sweet, (sweetly filthy) return to military romance for me. I haven’t written a SEAL book since 2018, and this was a lot of fun. I’ll be back to Coronado next year!
